Diamondback Socks, Paw Patrol Tanks, and more

Image
Diamondback Socks in Manos Alegria. I tried this pattern in the color way I ended up using for Posey, but it didn't quite work. I went back and bought this one (Locura Fluo) so I could use the pattern. Fabric scrap Bunzies and Pirate Booty boxer briefs. We made matching kid and Dad Rubick's cube t-shirts with heat transfer vinyl cut on the Cricut Maker.  5K tank from Elliedactyl in special Paw Patrol panel and coordinating print from Embotts . There's a code to get the pattern free in the Elliedactyl group on Facebook. The fabric is sold out, FYI.

Zigzagular and Posey Socks

Zigzagular Socks (added one extra twisted stitch column to motif) in White Birch Fiber Arts "Nothing Says 'Screw You' Like a Rainbow" I bought this same yarn at Stitches 2017 but Sean claimed it for a hat. I got it again this year and finally have my rainbow socks. Sort of Posey , but stockinette stitch instead of garter and one colorway instead of two and seaming instead of joining the sole. Also ribbing instead of picot edge. Manos Alegria in Carnaval.

I assumed I'd make the Sweetheart , but I wanted to try it in something else to check the fit since I think I to size up in custom C/L after what happened with my last Sweet Tee. But of course I don't have any custom CL I want to risk on an experiment, lol. I had some Refined Ponte from JoAnn and realized that the peplum top version would go great with the pencil skirts I never wear because I don't know what to wear them with. Some people said to size up with this fabric too. I had some extra room in shoulders, sleeves, and under the bust, so I'd probably want to go back to my regular size and do a FBA to one size up. I also lowered the neckline quite a bit. Overall it's more of a success than I thought it was going to be before I hemmed it. I didn't realize I nee
